Charlotte ranks seventh on the National Association of Realtors’ list of the nation’s 100 largest metros ranked based on forecasted home sales for 2018.
The strongest metro market in North Carolina, Charlotte is expected to see a 5.98% increase in homes sales and a 3.02% increase in home prices, putting it ahead of other major markets including San Francisco, Phoenix, Seattle, Denver and Austin, Texas.
Durham-Chapel Hill ranked as the state’s next best market at No. 22. It has a projected 5.18% increase in home sales and a 2.62% increase in homes prices. Raleigh is No. 28 with a projected 1.77% increase in home sales and a 5.77% increase in home prices.
Winston-Salem ranks 37th on the list with a projected 3% increase in home sales and a 3.21% increase in home prices next year. Greensboro-High Point comes in at No. 69 with a projected 1.34% increase in home sales and a 2.97% increase in home prices.
